The Old School of Singing 7th edition Masterclass
October 2026
Some experiences go far beyond music. They touch the very essence of who we are.
The Seventh Edition of The Old School of Singing® Masterclass in Tuscany has come to an end, leaving behind extraordinary vocal transformations, unforgettable emotions, and human connections that words can hardly describe.
With every new edition, something remarkable continues to happen. Singers who have been part of this journey for years reunite with those discovering the Old School for the very first time. Different generations, nationalities, personalities, and life stories come together, and somehow, within just a few days, strangers become friends, friends become family, and individual journeys become one shared experience.
This October was particularly extraordinary.
We witnessed astonishing vocal breakthroughs, moments of disbelief, tears of happiness, and sometimes even tears of regret for the years spent struggling with difficulties that, with the right guidance and a profound understanding of vocal technique, could finally begin to disappear.
There is something deeply moving about watching a singer rediscover possibilities within their own voice that they had long believed were lost, or perhaps had never imagined existed.
But what makes these gatherings truly unforgettable is not only what happens to the voices. It is what happens to the people behind them.
The courage to become vulnerable. The generosity to celebrate another singer's breakthrough as if it were one's own. The trust, the laughter, the tears, and the extraordinary sense of belonging that grows stronger with every edition.
This is becoming so much more than a masterclass. It is a family united by music, truth, tradition, and the shared pursuit of vocal freedom.
I feel profoundly grateful and proud to have been blessed by God with the gift of teaching, and with the extraordinary privilege of having been connected, through my own teachers, to some of the greatest living traditions and heritage of the Old School of Singing.
To have received this knowledge is a blessing. To have understood how its principles come together, and to be able to transmit them to new generations of singers, is a responsibility I carry with tremendous love, conviction, and respect.
Over the years, I have seen how many attempt to reproduce what they observe in photographs, videos, gestures, and fragments of my teaching. But the essence of this art cannot be captured by imitating its external appearance. What truly matters lies much deeper: in the understanding of the voice, in the principles behind every action, in the wisdom passed from teacher to student, and above all, in the ability to recognize and respect the individuality of every human voice.
Technique without understanding becomes imitation. Tradition without its essence becomes an empty form.
I believe that teaching must come from a sincere desire to give, to build, to restore, and to contribute something meaningful to the future of our art.
In an operatic world too often influenced by politics, interests, ideologies, and systems that distract us from what truly matters, I choose to continue dedicating my life to the voice, to its heritage, to artistic truth, and to the unique soul and personality of every singer.
Because this is not simply about teaching someone how to sing.
It is about preserving something precious, restoring what has been forgotten, and passing it forward with integrity, love, and purpose.
To every singer who has trusted me, returned to study with me, or taken their very first steps into this extraordinary world: thank you. You are part of something much greater than a masterclass.
I look forward to welcoming you to our upcoming Masterclass in December.
Stay tuned.
