Masterclass Refund & Cancelation Policy
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Applicable to all Masterclasses offered by The Old School of Singing® / Voice Master Pro S.A.S.
Our masterclasses operate with extremely limited availability. Each confirmed participant occupies a reserved seat that cannot be reassigned at short notice. For this reason, all refund and cancellation rules must be clear, strict, and fair to all participants.
This policy applies immediately upon registration and payment.
1. Cancellations by Participants
1.1. Cancellations 21 Days or More Before the Start Date
A participant may request a cancellation at least 21 days (three weeks) before the first day of the masterclass.
To be considered, the cancellation must include verifiable proof of one of the following:
-
Medical emergency (participant or immediate family member)
-
Serious illness supported by a medical certificate
-
Unexpected hospitalization
-
Bereavement of an immediate family member
-
Documented extreme events outside the participant’s control
(e.g., natural disaster, major transit strike, legal obligations)
Change of mind, personal scheduling conflicts, travel issues, general illness without medical proof, or desire to join a future course do not qualify.
If documentation is valid and the request is approved, the participant may choose:
A. A refund (see Section 2)
or
B. A transfer to a future masterclass (subject to availability)
If documentation is not sufficient or not provided, the request is automatically rejected.
1.2. Cancellations Within 21 Days of the Start Date
Any cancellation request submitted within 21 days of the masterclass start date is non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of the reason.
This is because all costs, preparations, and allocations for the participant’s spot have already been finalized and cannot be recovered.
No exceptions apply during this period.
2. Refund Policy
Refunds are only possible if:
-
The cancellation request is submitted at least 21 days in advance,
-
And the reason is supported by official documentation
-
And the request is approved by our administrative team.
2.1. Refund Processing
If a refund is approved:
-
Refunds are issued to the original payment method only
-
Processing time: 10–14 business days
-
Payment processor fees (Stripe, PayPal, Shopify, etc.) are non-refundable
-
Any bank transfer or currency conversion fees are deducted from the refund amount
3. Transfer of Participation
(Include this because it protects you but gives participants a safer feeling.)
In approved cases (Section 1.1 only), instead of a refund the participant may request to:
Transfer their booked spot to a future masterclass, subject to:
-
Availability
-
Official documentation supporting the cancellation reason
-
Completion of all required administrative steps
Transfers requested within 21 days of the masterclass start date are not permitted.
4. Non-Attendance
Failure to attend the masterclass—whether in whole or in part—does not qualify for:
-
Refunds
-
Credit towards another masterclass
-
Rescheduling
-
Compensation of any kind
5. Cancellations by The Old School of Singing®
In the rare event that the organizer must cancel or reschedule the masterclass due to force majeure or unexpected circumstances:
-
Participants will be notified immediately
-
Participants may choose:
-
A full refund (minus payment processor fees), or
-
Transfer to a future masterclass
-
The organizer is not responsible for costs related to participant travel, accommodation, visas, or other personal expenses.
6. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund
